Dragon Stool Teaser

Well, I didn’t really intend this to be a teaser, but that’s how it has worked out. My wife and I are leaving today (a day later than planned) for a three-week vacation, taking our new trailer to Colorado and back. We’ll be taking photographs, exploring, and visiting friends and family along the way. For the last two weeks, I’ve had my hands full doing various tweaks to the trailer and getting the house ready for three weeks of housesitting. I also managed to squeeze in a three-day, twenty-eight-mile backpack trip last weekend.

All that to say I am way behind on posting here and uploading videos to my YouTube channel. So, here’s the teaser – when I return I will be posting a series of videos on building the “Dragon Stool” as described in Robert Lang’s 2009 article in Popular Woodworking. For those of you with SketchUp skills, you can download the model I created here. A photo of the completed stool is below; it’s a challenging project with no square joinery.
