Mitered Box Part 5
Let’s get a handle on this… Not a difficult task but there are always tricks to make things go more smoothly.
The handle on this box is a simple piece of ebony, about 1/8″ thick, mounted in a mortise, similar to the mortises used for the hinges. It is cut in the same way, and in the video I illustrate a few of the steps necessary to make the jig.
I was hoping to include the making of the trays, but that will have to wait a bit. Time got away from me this week as I spent four days in Washington visiting family over the July 31 weekend.
