Shop Tour
Finally back at this. My wife is mostly recovered from her cornea transplant & cataract surgeries. The second eye was done early this month. She’s still very sensitive to light, but things are improving daily. Thanks to those who expressed your support in my last post and elsewhere.
Several readers/viewers have asked about a shop tour, so I have finally done it. It took me a while to find a home for all the stuff that had been accumulating, but it’s pretty clean now. The last time it was this clean was when I hosted a shop tour for students; that was at least five years ago…
Here’s a list of the machines I discuss:
Bandsaw – Laguna HD16 (1996 Meber 16″)
Jointer/Planer – Robland XSD310 with Byrd Shelix cutterhead (1996)
Radial arm saw – DeWalt GW1 10″ (~1955)
Chop saw – DeWalt DW705 (~1996)
Lathe – Jet Mini Lathe (~2005, not mentioned in video)
Slot mortiser – Inca (model and age unknown)
Mortiser – Festool Domino
Dust collector – Oneida 3HP (~1995)
Router table – Shop-built cabinet, Porter-Cable 7518 router
Drill press – Jet JDP 17MF 17″ (~1997)
Disc sander – Conquest Industries 20″ (~2003)
Table saw – Powermatic 66 (mid-1960’s)
Compressor – Porter-Cable 4-gallon (~2000)
Hi Carl,
Happy New Year to you and Lindsey. I’m very glad she’s doing well with her surgeries, that’s a big deal!! It’s so nice to see you’re still posting on Youtube.
Next week school starts again, Windsor chair and finishing the demilune table I started a couple years ago is what I’ll be doing. We still miss you there, always will.
Be well,
Janet L.
Merry Christmas Carl. I am glad Lindsey is recovering from her surgeries. I look forward to your posts and always learn things.
Thanks,
Amy E.
Merry Christmas Stammerjohn Family,
Happy to hear that your wife is getting better each day. Sue and I will keep you both in our thoughts and Wish you both the Best the Holidays Have to Offer .
I remember that multi-shop tour you spoke of some 5 or so years ago. Your place certainly stood out amongst many we visited.
Be well!
Mike
Merry Christmas to you and your wife. So glad she is going in a positive direction. Bless you both. Tony Bober
