November Update
Been a while since I posted… My wife and I were on the road from September 15 to October 10, and soon after I went backpacking in the Sierra Nevada mountains near Bishop for a week. Since then I’ve been working on the house and yard, attempting to get caught up on about ten years of deferred maintenance. As I write this, I’m in a hotel near UCLA with my wife, who is recovering from cornea-transplant/cataract surgery this morning (it went well).
All that to say I haven’t had a lot of time to post any videos. I will get back to it, hopefully sooner than later. I just wanted to let you all know what’s going on.
If you have any suggestions for future videos, let me know in the comments.
Welcome back Carl! I certainly hope that your wife is doing well with her recovery and please give her my best. UCLA is a good facility and I’m sure she will have a speedy recovery. Stay well and hope to see you soon. Bob
Send my best to your wife on the cornea transplant and cataract surgery! I hope her recovery is going smoothly and she is blown away by how much better she can see.
Sounds like you are living the dream. The best to Linsey and a speedy recovery.
hope your wife’s recovery goes well and that she’s restored back to excellent vision!
A shop tour video would be interesting, not to mention a build video/video series about the making of that Nyquist adjustable table.
While I know it’s a pretty complicated process, I’d like to see a tutorial on the curved dovetail.
Beautiful pic! Glad your wife is doing well. I am hoping to get into backpacking this summer.
Re: woodworking, I’m trying to sharpen my card scraper using Paul Sellars technique. Does having a real burring tool work better than a cheap screwdriver to create the burr?
Thanks again for the lovely picture!
Glad to hear your safe and I hope you had an amazing time on your trip1
Wishing you and your wife well during this holiday season and always.
good to hear from you, best to your wife on a fast recovery
