Krenov Trestle Horse Part 4
Yes, I skipped parts 2 and 3… My wife and I were prepping for and taking a road trip starting late September, and we returned last weekend. I was able to get some videos up while away, but the blog posts weren’t a priority. We took our travel trailer on a 3500-mile trek through Las Vegas NV, Salt Lake City UT, Idaho Falls, Boise, Coeur d’Alene ID, Pendleton OR, then down Hwy 395 back to Los Angeles, with lots of side trips along the way. Our primary goal was to find a place to move to, and the trip was a success on that front; we’re now focusing on Coeur d’Alene. I’ll keep you posted on our status.
With that being said, there’s not much to add regarding the trestle horse build. Note that one of the goals when I taught this in class was to practice hand tool skills. That’s why I don’t sand any of the parts; they are all hand-planed. It’s good practice on a low-value project (relatively speaking).
