Wood Plane Handle Build
In my intro video to the Krenov-style wood plane build, a viewer asked in the comments for instruction on how to build the handle on my small jointer plane. Here is that post and video.
As I describe in the video, the handle is more comfortable than just holding onto a typically shaped plane body. While you could carve the handle into a larger plane body, that would require a much bigger blank and a far bigger commitment – once it’s carved you’re stuck with it. This handle is easy to remake and replace if needed.
